Diesel engines are exceptionally reliable, but they do need regular maintenance in order to stay in top condition. You must keep your diesel engine’s oil and filters changed at regular, scheduled intervals. Because diesel engines do not have electrical ignition parts such as plugs and wires, there are fewer components within the vehicle that need to be maintained. DOT Inspections
The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that all commercial motor vehicles that weigh more than 10,001 pounds undergo an annual inspection. We offer inspections at J-Pro Truck Center. If your vehicle requires maintenance in order to meet the requirements to pass the inspection, we will inform you and provide quotes for these services.
There are six levels of safety analysis during DOT inspections–North American Standard Inspection; Walk-Around Driver/Vehicle Inspection; Driver-Only Inspection; Special Inspection; Vehicle-Only Inspection; and Enhanced NAS Inspection for Radioactive Shipments. J-Pro Truck Center is trained to conduct all of these inspections. Upon inspecting your vehicle, we will inform you of your results and let you know if any maintenance is required.
